About me: When I turned 55 year old, I took great pride in the fact that I'd never done anything that made me sweat in 35 years! After watching my daughter finish Ironman Lake Placid in 2004, then my son-in-law do the same in 2005, I decided I'd give it a whirl. I hired Adam Johnston as my coach. I bought running shoes and a bike, learned how to swim, and worked my butt off for the next two years.
