About me: Stepping into the role as Ontario Race Director for the 5Peaks Trail Running has kept me very busy ... at the cost of my training and racing. But the experience has been rewarding and now that I am going into my second year with 5Peaks, I am better prepared and organized. This will hopefully allow me to stay on track with my current racing goals.

My most catastrophic racing experience was: Raid the North French River: my feet fell apart! After only 20 hours of racing, I was barely able to walk with swollen, painful, cracking. Almost a year later, I still have some residual numbness in my big toe!
My most memorable racing experience was: Two of them. Running my first marathon in New York City. It was the 25th anniversary of the Marathon and there were almost 30,000 runners from over 100 countries. The experience was overwhelming. A half million people lined the streets to cheer on the runners. The Canadian flag on my singlet sparked yells of encouragement "Go Canada, EH!" Completing the Race The Rockies Adventure Challenge 2004. Only weeks earlier I had to drop from a 36 hour race with foot problems, so completing this event was a boost. Although my performance wasn't great, I enjoyed the race, the scenery, and the experience.
